Choices

Imagine that the Pharisee and the tax collector have suddenly been transported to our time, have received degrees, and now teach at your child's school. Whose class would you choose for your child? The Pharisee would probably be an expert in the subject matter, but kids tend to tune out people who reel off their own accomplishments. The tax collector might not get everything right, but he accepts that he doesn't know it all. In light of that, how do you feel about sharing our faith with your kids? Do you worry about making mistakes? Do you feeel unworthy of the job? Take heart. Remember what Jesus says: "The one who humbles himself will be exalted." Jesus is with you on this.
